Valencia MG

MG - Modifiable Gain

On this version of Valencia, the gain can be modified between 14dB and 0dB. The 14dB setting is great for low-sensitivity headphones, while the 0dB setting is great for high-sensitivity headphones. See the instructions on how to modify the gain. The amp may be ordered with the gain preconfigured for you.

Valencia was designed with three clear purposes…

• Be the world’s first dedicated balanced headphone power amplifier.
• Be one of the world’s cleanest measuring headphone amplifiers.
• Be one of the most powerful headphone amplifiers available today.

The Valencia headphone power amplifier is a compact, high-performance amplifier. Designed for discerning audiophiles, recording professionals, and music lovers who refuse to compromise, it delivers exceptional resolution, lifelike dynamics, and effortless control across every genre. Powered by massively parallel high-current class-AB buffers, it delivers speed, precision, and transparency into any headphone from 16Ω to 600Ω. Its advanced proprietary fully balanced architecture unlocks a level of clarity and musicality that redefines what’s possible from an amplifier of its size.

What Makes the Orchard Audio Valencia HPA Special?

What truly sets it apart, though, is the independent linear regulator for each channel, each with a 1000uF rail capacitor. This reservoir provides effortless dynamics, rock-solid bass authority, and extraordinary stability under demanding loads.

Here’s a snapshot of the key performance highlights:

• 17W into 32Ω / 3.24W into 150 Ω — will drive any imaginable headphone
• 7W into 8 Ω — Valencia will drive high-sensitivity loudspeakers
• 1.2A peak current and output impedance of 0.02 Ω – for extremely demanding headphones
• Fully balanced signal path from input to output for ultra-low noise and ultra-clean amplification.
• Compact footprint (9.5ʺ × 9.25ʺ × 3ʺ) makes placement and installation easy.

This combination of power, precision, and practical design makes the Valencia a standout choice in today’s crowded headphone amplifier market. It isn’t just about raw watts — it’s about how those watts translate into musical realism.

Designed for Real-World Music Lovers

While some high-end gear prioritizes looks and/or specs over musicality, Orchard Audio’s approach balances both. The Valencia’s Class-AB design delivers extremely low noise, combined with low distortion and impressive transient response — giving you exceptional clarity and control.

Because it’s fully balanced from input to output and built with state-of-the-art components, the Valencia doesn’t just produce power — it preserves the nuance and texture of your recordings. Reviews and listening reports highlight its ability to bring out micro-detail, soundstage, and layering in music that can get lost in lesser amps.

Whether you’re listening to jazz, classical, rock, or electronica, this amplifier stays composed and musical through complex passages.

How the Orchard Audio Valencia HPA Fits Into Your Audiophile System

The Orchard Audio Valencia is designed to integrate smoothly with balanced preamplifiers and sources. Orchard Audio intentionally focused on balanced XLR connectivity to maintain signal integrity, but an RCA-to-XLR converter is readily available if needed.

CAUTION: Valencia is strictly a power amplifier; the user must provide external volume control.
