The new modules are sounding fantastic, both with my Quad ESL 57s and my Eminent-Tech LFT 6s, which are large and very insensitive. I couldn’t be happier with them.

For reference these replaced my Hypex NC500 based Nord 1 amp, which I wasn’t listening too much anymore because of harshness which caused listening fatigue.
I was looking for an amp that I could attach directly to the speaker to eliminate the speaker cable all together and when I saw the Starkrimson DIY kit and that it used GaN I took notice and bought a set.
Withing the 1st minute of listening I knew I had made the right choice, the harshness and listening fatigue are gone.
The amount of detail I now hear in music much improved and I am finding out that every time I make improvements to the input signal these amps respond with even more detail.
Setup is a lot of fun system to listen too now which is nothing elaborate on paper. Source: WiiM Pro+ with a Linear PS & Ultra Capacitors, DAC: Geshelli J2 with a Linear PS. Speakers: GR Research X-Statics with upgraded X-Over.

They seem to get out of the way of the music. They have no problem producing clean solid bass or clean solid highs. I really like them!

I had a Nelson Pass First Watt amp before these and it just wasn’t as good for the “classical” music side of things. These amps deliver clarity, soundstage, and imaging that is so exciting to listen to in my treated space with high efficiency speakers. Using a Merging Technologies HAPI going straight into these amps delivers an emotional listening experience that I haven’t had with my setup before.
When I first got the amps up and running, I wanted to quickly go through a bunch of different recordings just as a fun sound test. The sound was so engaging, though, that I just sat in my chair and listened to the whole first album without moving. I think anyone would agree that experiences like that are the whole point of having a nice stereo, so mission accomplished! Thanks, Leo!!!

These amplifier modules use very high quality components including 0.1% precision resistors and high end ICs. The modules sound excellent, very pleasant and authoritative. The amp specs are impressive – high damping factor, extremely low noise and distortion, and notably for a class D amp, very little phase shift in the audible region. They are absolutely silent when idle. The most notable thing to me is how small these modules are and how cool they run. I feel no guilt leaving these amps powered on as they hardly draw any power when idle. I gain extra satisfaction listening to high end gear that I built myself. Many thanks to Orchard Audio for supporting the DIY community.

My project isn’t finished, but these amps are VERY quiet, and while extremely revealing, they are musically gorgeous. I have used many amps, and have fine examples of Class D, A/B, 300B SET Class A available to listen to, and these Starkrimson amps are fitting right in. I a very impressed.

Amazingly clean sounding amplifier modules. Audible improvement over my Class A/B integrated of equal wattage.

The modules drive my very difficult Martin Logans without effort. Detail is truly remarkable with a solid three dimensional image. This coupled with quick and defined bass extension which adds another octave of super tight bass. All this without adding or taking away from the source. I actually think my Pass Class A amps may be retired. Finally, it may be the easiest amplifier build I’ve ever done.

The sound of this amp put a smile on my face, the clarity, details of mids and highs are amazing also good instrument separation. The vocal is so clear it’s just like the singer is singing in front of you. Leo’s design incorporating the GaN FET is a winner and the most important are the specs THD,SNR,Gain and SINAD results are very good. The output is very clean with no noise or hum coming out of the speakers.

Absolutely love the sound. Easy build using some Mean Well power supplies. Much better than my ICEpower 1200AS2 stereo amp. No complaints about low end or midrange. Very clean and detailed presentation with some tube qualities. Not fatiguing. Very happy with purchase and looking forward to more listening experiments removing preamp, different speaker cables, etc.

Your amp is extremely analytical. I find no decay on each sound. There seems to have no lingering resonance or fade when a string is damped by the performer.
It’s a dryness I am completely unfamiliar with.
It has been more than a week listening. A Love – Hate but now a lovely Love. It lacks the sweetness I honed with 300 Elrogs SE and parallel SE 6C33B amps. It is very honest and accurate. I think it is the ideal Mastering playback system all studios need in their arsenal to hear an accurate mix. Quick, spacious, dimensional, a true understanding where the balance fader is dialed.
Selfishly Covid induced, I haven’t shared this sound with anyone but my oldest son. I brought him up with sweet second order amplifiers. He clearly did not like your amp. “I wouldn’t put this in your living system! I don’t hear the soft reverberance that I heard before.”
Are my tube amps that dishonest that I like them?
I think I am gonna keep your Bosc amp in my living room

I used a couple of Leos Bosc boards to build a stereo amp. I think the boards are a little special.
You get all the audio goodies with out the downside of dealing with heat or weight or tubes or a weakness in some part of the frequency spectrum.
The amps just get out of the way and let the music through.
If you are a little DIY inclined you can build a great amp at a reasonable price.
