Recommended Cables, Adapters, and Accessories
I am often asked for recommendations on speaker cables, XLR cables, RCA cables, and so on. Hence I created this blog post with my most frequent recommendations below.
RCA Cables
Most commonly an RCA cable with male connectors on both ends is used. Here are some options:

RCA to XLR ADAPTERS / Cables
RCA to XLR Adapter — These are useful to connect an RCA output to an XLR input.

While adapters and cables will work, for best results use an active RCA to XLR converter like the one we make. A converter like this should be placed close to the source device with RCA cables being as short as possible.
XLR to XLR Cables
XLR inputs are almost always female, and XLR outputs are almost always male. 99% of the time when you are connecting an XLR output to an XLR input you need an XLR female-to-male cable. Options below.
With our Starkrimson and Starkrimson Ultra monoblock amplifiers, I recommend putting the amplifier close to the speaker and using longer interconnects.

Speaker Cables
Did you know Orchard Audio makes speaker cables? They are available in multiple lengths and colors.
With our Starkrimson and Starkrimson Ultra monoblock amplifiers, I recommend putting the amplifier close to the speaker and using a short speaker cable with longer interconnects. You may see my blog post on this topic here.
USB to S/PDIF Digital-to-Digital Converter (DDC)
Do you want to use one of our streamers as a DAC with a computer or laptop? These DDCs will do the job.
S/PDIF (COAX) & AES/EBU Cables (DDC)
These cables are used to transfer a digital audio signal between two devices.

Line Conditioner
Please note the line conditioner recommended below will not give you exactly 120V on its output. It only regulates when voltages are lower than 112V or above 127V. Otherwise, however, these devices will protect your equipment and even offer a $25,000 guarantee.
