a great product, easy to install, it would only be very nice if it had a remote control and a button to turn it off. the Volumio software is very intuitive but it would be nice if it had instructions in Spanish.
Congratulations for the development of this Streamer!!

Best sounding DAC around. Easy to use provided you go have specced the right configuration… Otherwise it can be a little DIY. Excellent customer service. Would recommend to anyone who like tinkering with their sound!!!

I bought this to try as an alternative to my other streamer, intending to retain my existing high perf/cost DAC.
Leo’s PecanPi Ultra streamer provides me with excellent voice and instrument separation, wonderful bass and delicate treble, so my former DAC has been transferred to my desktop and the PecanPi into my main system. I wish it had direct wi-fi instead of Ethernet connectivity, however I respect the designer prioritising his design philosophy.
In retrospect I did not need the Ultra version with its touchscreen, however perhaps I’ll appreciate that in another application.

The streamers sound great. Currently, I’m using two of these in an active crossover setup with my Martin Logan Quest speakers. One streamer handles the DAC for the panels and the other streamer handles the DAC for the woofers. I replaced the woofers with upgraded units and sound with the streamers is awesome compared to the original factory drivers.

I was disappointed with this product until I put it in the microwave as shown in the video above. I put it on Defrost Lasagna and now the unit has a deep and clear spatial image.

I didn’t expect such a significant improvement compared to my current DAC, which costs about 8 times the PecanPi Streamer Ultra.
The transparency and dynamics of this DAC are simply amazing, the music now has timing that allows you to keep the time at the rhythm of music with your foot as if I were truly a musician, crazy.
I’m using Volumio software and it makes it all very easy and intuitive.
Don’t let yourself be triggered by the very small size of this streamer, performance is impressive!
As the last point, I strongly thank Leo for his patience to respond to every doubt I had.
If you are looking for a very high-quality DAC Streamer, stop and buy PecanPi Ultra, you won’t regret it!
My next purchase will be the Starkrimson power amplifiers.

I’m not an audiophile or a gear head – just a guy in search of some audio sublime. I was hesitant to pull the trigger on the ultra as orchard audio isn’t your typical audio stop n shop. after hemming and hawing between the ultra and some more traditional boxes I took the plunge and went with Leo and the ultra. the result? crisp, smooth, open, engaging sound. everything old new again.
some audio sublime.

The build quality, simplicity and audio performance of the Orchard Audio PecanPi Ultra Streamer exceeds all of my expectations. After recently switching to Roon as my music server, I discovered Orchard Audio and Leo’s PecanPi in my quest for an audiophile-grade DAC that is Roon tested. I had separately stumbled on the ability to use RoPieee intalled on Rapsberry Pi as a Roon Bridge. The new Ultra seemed to bring together the best possible combination in a gorgeous package that looks handsome in my living room.
Regarding audio quality of the PecanPi, for about two months, I had been using an EarMen TR-AMP attached to a MacBook as my Roon endpoint. I was pleased with the sound of this setup but for several reasons, I decided I wanted a true Roon-tested endpoint and the PecanPi Ultra seemed compelling with its touchscreen. Wow was I surprised. My entire family immediately noticed the superior sound of the PecanPi DAC with its twin flagship Burr-Brown PCM1794As – one dedicated to each stereo channel. It’s truly spectacular and I could not be happier with it.
I ordered the Roon endpoint option and setup could not have been easier. Leo’s instructions were perfect, and I took his recommendation to use a TP-Link AC750 Wi-Fi Bridge and Extender for the network connection. Hook up the TP-Link, power up the Ultra, watch a bunch of pretty computer code fly past the screen, and a few minutes later, the Ultra is up and ready to go. It was really impressive.
Finally, Leo could not possibly provide better customer service. Expect a polite, courteous and prompt reply to your emails. Looking back on my first couple of questions, I realize what a noob I must have seemed. Despite that, Leo treated me with the utmost respect and professionalism.
If you’re on the fence about a PecanPi Ultra Streamer, don’t be. You won’t be disappointed. My next purchase will be a pair of Orchard Audio monoblocks. Can’t wait. Thank you, Leo, for making such a superior product and keep up the great work!

Had to buy it because Leo designs incredible audio. This is the answer to the Squeezebox that has grown tired and unavailable. I am enjoying my first unit in the bedroom for private headphone listening. No additional equipment required! My second unit will fill my kitchen great room! I love this Leo!
